How Does SkinTyte™ Work?
As our skin ages, it loses its natural firmness and its ability to bounce back into position after it has been stretched. This is due to the breakdown of proteins in the skin called elastin and collagen, which naturally deplete as the skin ages and is exposed to harmful UV rays. The reduction of these proteins can cause skin laxity.
SkinTyte™ utilizes advanced infrared light technology to restore youthful firmness to the skin. The innovative treatment heats the deeper layers of the skin to promote the contraction and partial coagulation of the collagen within the dermis, causing the body to begin its natural healing process. As the skin heals, it produces new collagen and elastin, leading to the appearance of tighter, more youthful skin.
While the SkinTyte™ light energy is being delivered into the dermis, the technology simultaneously cools the outermost layer of skin, the epidermis, with a sapphire crystal. The SkinTyte™ system also uses sensors to continually monitor the heat of the skin and precisely maintains the temperature, ensuring it is between 0 and 30 degrees C. This protects the entire treated surface and ensures the treatment is as safe and comfortable as possible.
