What Does the Cynoglow Treatment Feel Like?

A topical numbing cream will be applied prior to your PicoSure Pro Laser and Potenza
Radiofrequency Microneedling treatment. Once the numbing cream is activated the laser
treatment should be very tolerable. During the Potenza microneedling treatment you may feela mild sting, a warm sensation, and light pressure from the needles as the device moves overthe treatment area.

PicoSure Pro laser treatment feels like tiny pin pricks to the skin. You may experience some slight, temporary discomfort, but nothing like surgical or invasive treatments. A numbing cream is applied prior to the treatment series and cool air can be applied to the skin. Pronox (laughing gas) is also available at Shine MD to help alleviate any discomfort or anxiety you might be feeling about the treatment.

Is There Any Down Time with the Cynoglow Treatment?

The Cynoglow treatment plan is expected to cause little or no downtime*. See the above video to see Dr. Khurana’s same day and next day photos.

Some people may experience redness and swelling, but this should subside within a few hours. Patients can usually go about their day immediately,

You should avoid direct sun exposure for at least four weeks post-treatment and wear sunblock with SPF 50+ for at least 6 weeks after the treatment to help minimize the chances of pigmentation..

The treated area will likely be a little red with very slight swelling, which can last anywhere between a few hours to 48 hours. You may experience some flaking of old skin to reveal new fresh skin underneath.

Some common treatment effects include slight pinpoint bleeding and warmness felt during treatment but no significant pain. Other side effects include mild redness, tingling, and tenderness after treatment. Tiny scabs may appear as your skin heals; these scabs should be left alone and will fall off naturally.

How Soon Will I See Results?

For optimal results, you will likely need an initial series of three or four sessions, each taking place one month apart. Depending on your skin, results may be noticeable after your first treatment session. However, it takes a few weeks for the body to begin replenishing and producing new collagen and elastin after completion of your CynoGlow treatment plan. This means the optimal results should be reached about 6 months after your last session.

How Long Will The Results Last?

The results after completion of the full customised Cynoglow treatment is likely to change the overall process of aging in the skin. Due to the natural aging of the skin, results may appear to diminish over time. Ongoing skin care treatments and maintenance treatments will continue to boost your collagen production and rejuvenate your skin. The longevity of the results also depends on your lifestyle and daily skin care routine. Am I a Good Candidate?

A good candidate for the Cynoglow treatment plan is anyone who wants to address fine lines and moderate wrinkles on the forehead or around the eyes, texture irregularities on the skin, tightening to the skin, uneven skin tone from sun damage, acne scars and/or stretch marks.

What Should I Do For Post Care?

After the treatment, avoid hot water on the treated area(s). After washing and cleansing the face or body area— do not tug at the skin; instead, gently pat the skin dry. Do not scratch or scrub the treated area. Please be gentle with the treated area. You should not wear any make-up, put hot water or steam onto the treated area for at least 24 hours.

Please wear sunblock from SPF 30+, ideally 50+ for the next 6 weeks, as well as apply any post-treatment skincare recommended by your care provider at Shine MD.

You may resume normal activities and makeup-use after 24 hours, but do avoid direct sun exposure at least for the first 48 hours after your treatment session. Where possible, it is recommended that direct sun exposure be avoided at least four weeks post-treatment. Be sure to wear your sunscreen.
