Dermalinfusion medical-grade facials provide a non-invasive, pain-free alternative to deep cleansing and sweeping out the pores, while simultaneously delivering active ingredients to your skin under pneumatic pressure.

How Does Dermalinfusion Work?

The specialty handpiece will exfoliate the surface of the skin, extract sebum, and infuse with your choice of a Pro-Infusion Serum®. The unique and innovative dermalinfusion technology combines these treatments to optimize their efficacy.

These medical-grade facials are performed with a specialized wand about the size of a pen, featuring a customizable diamond tip. There are seven different tip options with varying degrees of coarseness. Your clinician will choose the tip best suited for your skin type, and the tip will be used to gently exfoliate away dead skin cells. While the diamond-tip exfoliates the surface of the skin, the wand uses a gentle vacuum to suck sebum and debris out of the pores, providing deep cleansing.

During exfoliation, the skin is at its most penetrable, and the dermalinfusion technology infuses medical-grade serums into the skin at the exact moment of exfoliation, optimizing the effects of the already powerful serums. Each serum has special properties and is designed to treat specific skin concerns. Depending on your skincare goals, two serums can be combined in one treatment.

  • The Ultra-Hydrating Pro-Infusion Serum delivers critical hydration enhanced by a permeation agent for greater anti-aging benefits including a reduction in visible fine lines.
  • The Vitamin C Pro-Infusion Serum is purposefully formulated with a stable Vitamin C derivative for numerous brightening and anti-aging benefits without instigating irritation.
  • The Skin Brightening Pro-Infusion Serum contains the patented Lumixyl peptide, to safely and effectively inhibit the source of surface dark spots and discoloration.
  • The Pore Clarifying Pro-Infusion Serum facilitates skin clearing and targets surface oil. This serum is ideal for treating acne-prone skin.

Dermalinfusion for Acne

At Shine MD’s Acne Clinic, we proudly offer medical-grade acne care in a space that is safe and accepting for people of all skin types. Dermalinfusion facials can be used to treat acne prone skin, active acne breakouts, and acne scarring.

Unlike most other professional exfoliation treatments, dermalinfusion technology is gentle enough to be used on active acne. The unique handpiece of the dermalinfusion system also extracts sebum, dead skill cells, dirt, and debris that may be blocking the skin glands. This extraction process is beneficial to treat active acne, and can work preventatively to reduce future breakouts. While the technology is cleansing the skin, the pore clarifying serum is simultaneously infused to further purify the skin.

Dermalinfusion medical-grade facials are also beneficial for improving the appearance of pigmented acne scarring. The unique combination of exfoliation, extraction, and infusion allow dermalinfusion facials to have long-term effects on the skin’s texture and tone. To lessen the appearance of acne scars, we recommend a series of several dermalinfusion facials.

Learn More About Dermalinfusion

Dermalinfusion medical-grade facials are simple, fast, and comfortable. To perform your facial, one of our trained staff members will use a diamond-tipped wand that is about the size of a pen. The wand will be evenly moved across the surface of the skin, exfoliating the surface of the skin, extracting buildup and debris, and infusing the skin with your chosen serum. The treatment is painless and only takes about a half hour.

There is no downtime after a dermalinfusion facial, and you can immediately return to your usual activities. You may experience some mild redness or skin sensitivity right after a dermalinfusion facial, which should subside over the next few hours.

Immediately after a dermalinfusion facial, you will notice that your skin is more hydrated and has a brighter and more even complexion. Long-term, dermalinfusion facials can reduce fine lines, wrinkles, sun damage, scarring, and a variety of other skin concerns. For the most visible long-term results, we recommend a series of treatments performed approximately every 4 weeks. Dermalinfusion facials can also be done in preparation for special occasions, or to periodically refresh the skin.

Dermalinfusion medical-grade facials are effective at improving:

  • Hyperpigmentation, dark spots, and sun damage
  • Aging skin, fine lines, and wrinkles
  • Dry, dehydrated skin
  • Rough skin texture
  • Acne prone skin and acne scarring
  • Congested skin
  • Sensitive skin, rosacea, and eczema

Dermalinfusion medical-grade facials are non-invasive and gentler on the skin than many other professional exfoliation methods. This means that dermal infusion can treat areas of thin or sensitive skin, like around the eyes or lips, unlike harsher exfoliating techniques.

The treatment is also customizable in multiple ways, and can be tailored to specific skin types and concerns. Not only are there multiple serum options and combinations, but the technology also consists of seven distinct diamond tips with different abrasion levels. There are diamond tips suitable for very sensitive skin all the way to the toughest skin types.

At Shine MD, we value inclusivity and take pride in promoting diversity in all of its forms. Dr. Mona Khurana and the team at Shine MD are confident that dermalinfusion medical-grade facials are a beneficial treatment for people of all skin types.
