Dr. Alisha Moosa is a Family Physician with a special interest in Primary Care Dermatology. She is dedicated to improving access and delivering high-quality care for patients with common skin concerns. Dr. Moosa is board certified by the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CCFP) and holds a Diplomate with Distinction in Practical Dermatology from Cardiff University (Wales, UK).
Born and raised in Vancouver, Dr. Moosa completed her undergraduate medical education and rotating internship at Trinity College, University of Dublin. She completed her postgraduate residency in Family Medicine at the University of Manitoba. Her residency training gave her the opportunity to travel to remote communities in Northern Manitoba and the Northwest Territories and provide comprehensive care to underserved and vulnerable communities in Canada.
During her early years as a Family Physician in Winnipeg, Dr. Moosa identified a significant need for patients to have better access to timely care for common skin concerns. Dr. Moosa became increasingly dedicated to dermatology and pursued additional academic training in Practical Dermatology for Primary Care Physicians. She remains passionate about assisting patients whose quality of life has been affected by skin concerns.
Dr. Moosa remains actively engaged in continuing medical education in Primary Care Dermatology. She regularly attends meetings and lectures to keep her up-to-date with the latest advances in treating various skin pathologies. She is dedicated to thorough communication with her patients and developing thoughtful, individualized care plans.
